James Rhodes

“if you cut yourself it’s not because you want to kill yourself,
it’s not an indicator of suicidal ideation,
it’s the opposite of that,
it’s a coping mechanism
it’s a way of controlling the pain
and releasing endorphins and getting through the day”

“I don’t know anyone who haven’t gone through monumental levels of pain,
that’s the human condition,
it’s impossible to live life without experiencing trauma to some extent or another
these guys, these heroic musicians, they composed and created despite the pain not because of it”
